Had a new key cut for my 05 Subaru WRX, they got it done super fast! The guys were nice and the key works great!
I have gone to Brooks Lock & Key for years for spare keys and matching padlocks. A while back I went to get a spare key (very reasonable price) and always fits. I asked about what to do regarding my driver door key and lock being finicky. The gentleman followed me outside and shot a special spray in the lock. Functions perfect now and he would not let me pay him for it. Wonderful customer service and highly recommend them.
I was needing to rekey a single lock cylinder. I just stopped in to see if they could sell me "plug follower" for rekeying so I wouldn't have to buy a full rekey kit online. The gentleman was very nice and he understood what I needed. He provided me tips for the type of lock I have and give me a handful plugs that he uses instead of the brass plug followers. I offered to pay for them, but he would not accept.Everything I need lock and key wise that I can't do myself will be going to Brooks Lock and Key. I highly recommended them!!
Wow! It's been a long time since I've encountered high quality customer service like this at BLK. I called ahead to make sure they were open and accepted walk-ins. Ryler answered the phone after the first ring. I told him what my problem was (the best I could. I suck at all things hardware) he answered my question but added he'd need to see the item to be 100% sure. I appreciated that. I asked when I could come by the store, he said someone would always be there from 8AM - 4PM. What?! Shocking, right? I pulled up and there was no waiting. He fixed my problem and within minutes. I had prepared my self to pay at least $50. I know how expensive things are nowadays and this is a business. He told me not to worry about it. Say what?!!! Those are words I never hear anymore.I'm done going to Home Depot and Loews for anything key or lock related. For me it's Brooks. It looks as if Brooks has wide selection of all-things-locks to sell too.Responsive. Knowledgeable. Respectful. Kind. Thank you.
I dropped off a challenging project: a part with a security mechanism that had a key snapped off in the lock cylinder. I called back a week later and they said they had extracted the lock cylinder from the part but could not get the broken key out of the lock cylinder. The part worked fine, it just needed a new lock cylinder and key to be installed. Because they did not have a lock cylinder available, they returned the part and old lock cylinder to me free of charge. Very helpful, great customer service, and very fair.
