We had a 1-3 pm appointment. I called at 445 and was told they were about an hour away. I sent a text at 7:51pm and told them I'd find a different provider. They did offer to come over but we go to bed about 8;30. I have used them in the past with no problems when I go to them other then no one being there during normal business hours.
I lost my keys to my portable safe so there was no keys to copy. They were able to make 2 replacement keys in under 5 minutes that worked perfectly. Expert Locksmiths!
I wish I had called Bowles first...Family owned, professional full service locksmith, will repair vs replace if possible, is customer oriented, friendly, and appreciates your business, all at a fair cost.Had another Locksmith on 11/13/25 who "fixed" a stuck key in Marks mortise lock & installed a new mortise lock on another door that I had purchased thru Lowes. Saturday morning, the "fixed" lock locked me out & the other new lock installed was not latching. Called that locksmith office back, they would not return until Tuesday!!!Lesson learned! Had I ignored some of the seemingly unfounded reviews, I would've have called Bowles first.Not only did they answer my call on Saturday and agree to come after the service calls he was committed to, he talked me thru getting my stuck door open, kept me posted, arrived within a couple hours, got both door lock issues resolved, cut a rusted padlock on a gate, rekeyed, and made keys on site within his quote. This is what a true locksmith service looks like.Thank you so much for making it easy with little effort required on our part.You are a credit to your trade!Pat E.
Originally called 4 places and Bowles stood out. Very professional, polite, and timely. Would definitely recommend and will use their service again. Lonnie was very nice and great!
These folks were so busy and I got so frustrated that they were never going to get to my new keypad on my office door. It took a tad longer than expected, but the craftsmanship and detail was perfect. The price was fair. I am a Facility Manager and I will hire them anytime I have door issues in Louisville. Nice family business that could use a couple more employees, but they are great at what they do and I am not sure they ever sleep.
