Reviews frequently mention quick turnaround, helpful counter staff, and prices that are lower than dealership quotes for auto keys. Many customers note clear communication and knowledgeable guidance on what will and won’t work, especially with aftermarket keys. A small number of critical reviews cite inconsistent customer service experiences. Overall ratings reflect strong outcomes for key duplication, rekeys, and automotive key fixes.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. Austin was the first person I dealt with, and he was incredibly rude and unknowledgeable. He didn’t explain anything clearly and acted irritated anytime I asked a question.
Unfortunately, when Luke took over, the situation only escalated. Instead of helping, he made the situation far more stressful.
There was a complete lack of professionalism from both employees.
If you’re looking for a locksmith who treats customers with respect and knows what they’re doing, I strongly suggest choosing another company.

Wonderful service! Quick, very helpful and knowledgeable. Will be back if ever in need- the price was definitely right! Thanks, guys!

Samantha Chu on J & J Locksmiths

Was sent here by the dealership when they couldn't fix my car key for less than $400 (O_O). I was in and out of this place in less than 10 minutes, and my problem was fixed for $30 instead! The guy with the large plugs in his ears helped me, and he was an absolute gem. Really nice and knowledgeable. I'll be coming here for any of my future locksmithing needs :)

I would willing drive an hour anyday just to use this company again. They saved my day after an absolute nightmare situation with EZ Key Locksmith. You could instantly tell this company knows what they are doing and actually care about their clients. Nothing but praise for this business. Highly recommend.

I've always had a good experience with them. They were honest and didn't price gauge like most of the people in the industry. Had a few keys bought a while ago and decided to have them cut. I thought my (old) software would be enough to program the keys as well, but it was just too old and after a while, made my way back to them. They weren't able to program they key I brought (bought from Amazon, last year). I wasn't very upset because I knew it could happen, but do yourself a favor and IF THEY ARE SELLING THE KEY YOU NEED, BUY IT FROM THEM, it'll save you time and they'll back their product. (Key in image is bought from Amazon, so don't be angry with J&J if the key you brought in can't be programmed).

Frequently Asked Questions

In many cases yes, including common transponder keys and remotes. Bring your vehicle details and any available key information, and the shop can advise whether an in-shop solution or a scheduled service is needed.

Rekeying is typically more economical if the existing hardware is in good condition. It changes which keys work your locks without replacing the entire lock, and is common after moving or tenant changes.

Yes, master keying and keying-alike setups can be designed to match your door hardware and access needs. The team can review your doors and cylinders and propose a practical, maintainable system.

Compatibility varies by vehicle and the part you purchased. The shop can test and advise on whether your key or remote can be programmed, and offer alternatives if the component is incompatible.

Bring the working key and, for vehicle keys, your vehicle information. For restricted or specialty keys, documentation may be required to verify authorization before cutting.
